Excellent food, beautiful views, and friendly service. The oysters were fresh and full of flavour and every dish we tried was delicious. The setting is perfect if you’re after a scenic outlook, with city skyline views framed by greenery. Highly recommend for a relaxed meal with a great atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back

Epic food, views and service. Think fabulous lunch or dinner with friends, family or take someone special here. Tables of all sizes, my recommendation is to dine in the covered terrace area as it’s closer to the views. If you prefer to be inside in aircon ask to be seated away from the stairs. There is also a bar area upstairs. We had the set menu and all of the food fabulous, prawns are served butterfly style, steak amazing, entrees special and the deserts awesome. The cocktails and wine menu offer good choices. It’s a beautifully appointed restaurant and has a sophisticated vibe about it. Service is excellent but not intrusive. Bathrooms lovely. There are stairs to get down to the restaurant so that is a consideration around mobility. Feel confident with this restaurant delivering a very good dining experience. We had the most amazing afternoon on Sunday at The Butler. We spontaneously booked a late lunch to celebrate our engagement, which happened that morning. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by our waiter. The service was exceptional; attentive, fun, accommodating… after we told them that my partner had proposed to me that morning, they made us feel so special. We loved the food, wine and cocktails and they even brought us a complimentary dessert with sparklers to celebrate ✨ Special mention to our two French waiters who made our lunch so memorable. Can’t wait to come back again soon 🙏🏼

Such a great experience, staff very very friendly and very accomodating. Very attentive but not intrusive. One of the best dining experience to date and our international guest love it. Thank you to everyone in the kitchen and the wait staff on the evening!! Decent parking in the area too which was great. The apple pudding pie was so so good!

Friendly staff, great food. Went here to celebrate me and my partners anniversary. We had a lovely set menu. Great drinks. And to top it off they gave us complimentary espresso martinis to celebrate the moment. Will be back.

We found this restaurant while walking. The atmosphere looks so nice so decided to try next time. And we did. The vibe was so beautiful as we expected. We started with the bread and butter which were nice and soft. Empanadas made of bean were amazing. We wanted to order second plate. The other dishes were all good including dessert. Also, you can enjoy the city view from the seat. It's one of the big parts in this restaurant.

The Butler came highly recommended to us, and we are so glad it was, definitely lived up to the hype. Classy and understated, with an amazing view, and surrounded by plants so you don't feel like you are in the middle of bustling Potts Point. The food was sensational. We opted for the banquet which was great bang for your buck. Delicious flavours, nothing disappointed! And contentedly full without feeling overstuffed. Service was friendly and attentive. A fab little restaurant and we hope to go back soon!

We popped into this bar for a little drink for happy hour and it was lovely! The staff were great. The happy hour wine and beer were both nice and the margaritas were amazing! We got a beautiful view over the city at sunset which was nice too. The food looked good on other tables, we will be back to try for sure!

The atmosphere is so special with a really nice decor throughout, cozy ambiance with a good music playlist and a great view of the city from the terrace. I highly recommend the coral trout, tasted amazing. The cucumber with tahini tasted great. Our cocktails (applejacker and passion project) were delicious and well presented. Chocolate mousse for dessert was a treat!

The Butler exceeded my expectations. Two tiny doors outside lead into a small drinks lounge, but there is a wow experience as you move back and into the main dining area. Dropping down, the dining room opens up to a pretty spectacular dining area with an open back which gives spectacular views of the city. Cocktails list is gold, with a limited golden hour till 5:30. Food is spectacular and not your standard Mexican. Scallop Tostada is a must. There are layers of flavour and it’s awesome. Fried tortilla chips has this awesome crispy side / sauce that reminds me I of Chinese XO sauce in a great moorish way. Achiotte red rice is another highlight as is the Corel trout. Definitely a worthwhile visit and worth checking out. Great for a chill dinner or a date.

Simply cannot fault the service & atmosphere. It’s fantastic. Everyone is super friendly and has a smile on their face. The food just does not deliver in flavour. The portion sizes for 4 (as shown in the pics) is really not great: the free flow is ok: the choice is ok but I wish they could offer a better package. I wish we had done a-la-carte.

Easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Sydney! I heard about the restaurant through some friends and was really excited to try it. The food was next-level—fresh, flavourful, and plated beautifully. Every dish was absolutely delicious! The service was just as amazing. Huge shoutout to Thales and Alessandro for making us feel so welcome and taking care of us all night. The vibe was perfect—warm, inviting, and just right for anything from a casual hangout to a special night out. If you want incredible food, top-tier service, and an all-around great time, this is the spot. Can’t wait to be back!

This place offers a stunning city view, making it a great spot to dine or enjoy brunch. The food was excellent the lamb barbacoa was a standout, the scallops were delicious, and the tuna tartare was also very good. Overall, a great experience with both the view and the food!

Long overdue review. My sister booked the Butler for my birthday lunch on a Sunday with a group of 5. We ordered a range of items from the menu. Serving sizes were decent and flavours were great. My favourite was the kingfish crudo. Lovely location however it does come with a menu which is more on the expensive side. Service was ok and while it was noted on the reservation that it was for a special occasion, there was no acknowledgment from staff throughout the lunch.

Amazing Experience at The Butler! I had a fantastic dining experience at The Butler in Kings Cross. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect, and the service was exceptional. A special shout-out to Pam, who went above and beyond to make our evening special. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. Her warm and professional approach truly elevated our experience. Highly recommend this place for great food, stunning views, and top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back! 😊🥰

Food only got 2 stars because I didn't have any. I think they had snacks, but I'm not sure. There was an amazing taco spot right across the street, though! But service was good evening with the crowd and I loved the atmosphere. Very chill vibe and nothing to fancy. Definitely a good hang out spot but don't dress like a bum. Be cute casual!

Enjoyed a fantastic Tuesday night at The Butler with perfect food and environment. Every dish tasted so good and we finished everything. Wholeheartedly recommend the scallop taco and seared scallop; the former came with diced raw scallops with a very tender texture, and the latter covered with sauce similar to Asian barbecue taste. Ordered Tuna tartare as entree, the flavour of yuzu really reminded me of the Tokyo dipping ramen. Red rice was filling but with a light and refreshing taste. The scrambled egg and pancakes came with the lobster were really good as well. The passionfruit cocktail was delightfully flagrant and the dessert, although a bit sweet for me, had great texture. The night city view was spectacular and the sound of raining was soothing. Also the service was great and comfortable . Sincere gratitude to the staff for accommodating us and adjusting our reservation time!

A great spot nestled in Potts Point. Gorgeous views of the city, recommend getting here around 6.30 to enjoy sunset dinner and cocktails. Staff are super friendly, and each dish was served promptly. Definitely check it out, particularly if you can get a terrace table right next to the garden.

The outdoors area has a lovely view of the city! The dishes are for sharing. Food was very good. The half order of lamb is generous and good for 2 or 3 persons to share. The heirloom tomatoes were very tasty too. The service is warm and friendly.

I’m here on a work trip for a few days, being from Melbourne I am quite the spoilt foodie. I was looking for the perfect spot for solo dining. If you are a solo traveller looking for the perfect spot with delicious food, a fine cocktail, lovely service and a beautiful view.. look no further than The Butler I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the beautiful decor, everything from the lighting to the menu design was immaculate. The attention to detail and consistency throughout the venue was very pleasing. I saw one of the waiters resetting a table cloth with an iron, I was like wow, that’s next level but I love it it. What I had to drink: 🍹I had the Mango Mezcal Tommy’s What I had to eat: 🍽️ I ordered the crispy calamari tostada and shaved squash toastada ! It is usually a minimum order of two serves for each type of tostadas I was lucky enough that my very kind waiter checked with the chef if she could do one each for me so I can try two different options That way I didn’t have to order four to try the two options I was keen on. And so grateful that they did this for me otherwise I would have struggled to finish them. I preferred the calamari toastada, the calamari was cut beautiful in bite size pieces, not oily or heavy. It was delicate and balanced nicely with the chile arbol lime mayo. 😍 Not to say the shaved squash wasn’t incredible, I am biased because I’m not a vegetarian. However as a former vegan/vego, if still was a vegetarian - I’d be blown away by the options on the menu and the shaved sqaush tostada was divine ! I could of stayed longer, the atmosphere was amazing, the view was gorgeous. I had to head off otherwise I would of ended up ordering one too many cocktails 😂 I’m really keen to visit again next time I’m in Sydney - thanks so much to the lovely waitstaff, bartenders and chefs!

A gorgeous restaurant with a gorgeous view of the city. I visited recently and went back 2 days later again as the food was just wow. The flavours of the tuna and the seaweed butter were the stands out for me but everything was super tasty. The staff were warm and welcome and I was never without a drink in my hand. Service was fantastic - Pam was an absolute delight taking care of us. Perfect spot for a date night and a great for a catch up with friends too! I will be back for sure ☺️

Thank you for bringing The Butler back to it's usual standard. Wait staff were amazing. Cocktails perfect and food delicious. The oysters fresh so fresh. The flat grilled snapper was to die for. Duck is a huge portion - couldn't finish it. If you order the ora salmon be sure to get the dressing onto it. Loved my experience.

Went here after a Dodgers game and it is such a cool bar. Security were friendly, the bartender Julian was great to talk too, and of course the cocktails were fantastic! I couldn’t believe they had a “Vesper”, as a massive Bond fan I had to have it and it was amazing. Followed with the old faithful Espresso Martini which was great too. Drinks are reasonably priced. Can’t wait to come back here the next time I’m in LA!

Everything was really good till a mouse started to go around the tables as it was very familiar with the place. Im sorry, but this is disappointing! Disgusting . For a $98pp menu, sharing the space with mouse is not acceptable, c’mon… Too expensive for what it offers I do not recommend at all!

Great dining experience at the bottomless lunch @ The Butler. Food was plentiful and drinks generous. The outlook just added to the experience for our party of four. Service was very prompt and responsive. Highly recommended.

Such a cute cocktail bar! Great atmosphere and music but the hilight were the drinks made by the talented bartenders Connor and Julian. So so delicious, some of the best in LA. They also have a great happy hour everyday from 5-7 pm. Can’t wait to come back, it’s great to bring a group too.

The minute one steps into Bar Henry, there's something about the place that just pulls at one. Everything, from plush seating to decor that sets a stylish tone, speaks for themselves in terms of ambiance. Their drinks menu really impresses with variety and quality spirits. Yes, it does get crowded, more so on weekends, but generally, it's livelier. The bartenders are responsive and friendly, adding to the pleasurable atmosphere of the place. Having an outside area is always a nice touch—even more so when it will prove to be a pleasant space to hang out. Even when things get loud sometimes, Bar Henry still is one of the best places for a night out that offers fun times with friends.

Overall it was nice but I won’t rush back because for groups they force you to do a set menu. I’m vegetarian and to be honest the food I got for $79 just wasn’t worth it for the price. The food was nice but not special enough for $79 and the cauliflower tacos had hard-ish cauliflower in them. For the price I don’t think that kind of issue is ok. For the $79 I think all I got was: corn chips with bean dip, 3 slices of zucchini, 1 cauliflower taco and red rice. The service was nice and the staff were very friendly. 👌🏼 I can’t fault them at all. I didn’t like the cocktails. They also didn’t seem to have much alcohol in them. I’d prefer more basic white girl cocktails TBH like something super sweet — way more suit than the options available. Also one of the cocktails has a giant square ice cube in it so the glass is 80% ice cube, 20% liquid. Need to see more vegetarian options added to the menu to return. Something with protein (vegetarians need protein in our meals just like meat eaters.) maybe something with lentils or a chickpea curry? The ceiling fans turned on were annoying. It’s cold. Even though they move slow they are very big so move cold air around. 🥶

One of the fine Sydney gems tucked in the secretive yet very seductive spot of Potts Point. The atmosphere is perfect for a night out with your friends or an intimate eve with your partner. The service is excellent and the menu offers such indulging delicacies. Ask to be seated closer to the terrace edge for more wow effect when booking.

This restaurant has been on my bucket list for a few months, and I’m glad we visited it for an early Sunday lunch. The venue was quiet at that time, so we got a nice table at The Terrace even without booking. Their service was great, the team explained the cocktails and dishes to us, served it fast and checked on us for feedback. The menu has good options, with nice dishes for sharing with groups as well. All fresh, and with a beautiful taste.

Beautiful interior and exterior and a good spot for a date night/drinks with the girls/or even solo. I ended up sharing a few plates and even the dessert was so delicious. However, the music playing was a bit too loud which made it hard to have conversation.

Lovely hidden gem in Potts Point! From the start there was an amazing atmosphere, the staff were lovely and great at recommending food and cocktails. We had a lovely table outside with a stunning view of the city skyline. Our cocktails were delicious and the food was delicious and loved every dish we had. Highly recommend the lobster gnocchi. Definitely would be returning.

Not often I’ll be completely satisfied with a restaurants. Always there are issues! But Butler was an exception, we did not dine there had two glasses of wine and two appetisers. Both excellent liked the wine choices and the cooks fresh approach to food. I do recommend to all to visit this nice restaurant. View was a spectacular.

A beautiful venue tucked away in the leafy back streets of Potts Point. Stunning views of Sydney’s skyline, comfortable terrace seating & some of the best shared plate food we’ve had. The ambience of this restaurant is absolutely incredible! Stunning views of the city that you get to enjoy while dining here. I must admit though, the food didn't quite live up to the flavorful expectations of the Latin inspired menu. All in all, it's still a great spot to unwind and have some drinks with friends.

Food and service is at the standard expected in this place. Wasn’t blown away but nothing bad to say either. Overall a really enjoyable meal and great summery atmosphere. Would highly recommend the lobster gnocchi ! Only disappointing thing is you have to have a minimum of 4 people for the set menu which looked delicious and took all the thinking work out of quite an expansive menu. The couple next to us wanted the sharing set menu too so I’m guessing it’s quite a common request so it’d be great if the 4 person minimum could be reviewed!

This place is always amazing. The service is on point with super friendly staff that know the menu and advise you well. The food is incredible. So tasty and served hot. The timing between courses is perfect and finished plates are cleared quickly. The cocktails are delicious and pretty. The atmosphere is not too crowded or noisy. We always sit on the terrace which is nice and leafy with a great view. Would highly recommend a visit to The Butler. You will not be disappointed

Wonderful modern food, lovely atmosphere and very friendly people. Try to reserve a table on the terrace. I had a delicious kingfish crudo, gnocchi with lobster and manuka semifreddo. They also offer a nice selection of Australian wines, including orange wines which I liked with the desert. Highly recommend to go with friends when you visit Sydney

Excellent view of the city with very comforting delicious food. The food was a mix of Italian, Mexican and western flavors which was a pleasant change from a city obsessed with Asian fusion…Felt the dessert could have been bolder in its flavor profile but ultimately still delicious. The dishes maybe smaller in size compared to other places (as some other reviewers seem to point out) but I felt was the right size so that you were full at the end of the night, but not uncomfortably so.

This place would have been 4 stars had it not been for the fact that my hair caught on fire from one of their dinner tables candles. Our table had the banquet to share. Starters were very nice, service was very average and the lamb was not worth the hype. Desserts were sadly a let down. Beautiful venue and beautiful food presentation but now I have to go to the salon to salvage my burned hair. I was not offered any concern by the restaurant - one employee vapidly stated “I saw your hair catch on fire,” but did not ask if I was ok. I won’t be going back.

I had the pleasure of visiting The Butler with some friends for brunch and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the breathtaking view that stretched out before me. The food at The Butler was equally impressive. The menu featured a diverse selection of dishes. I opted for the tacos. The service was impeccable as well. The staff was attentive and went out of their way to ensure that every aspect of the dining experience was top-notch. I can't recommend it highly enough, and I can't wait to return for another unforgettable meal with that incredible view.

Beautiful views to the city in such a nice neighbourhood. The place offers sitting in or outdoors, with a good selection of cocktails and wines (even by the glass). The menu brings lots of different flavours in small portions, but a good way to try new things.

Beautiful restaurant in Potts Point The food, drinks & the atmosphere were all on point. They have a really nice cocktails menu - I got the Please & Thank you and it was great: fruity and sweet. We went with the Butler’s Banquet set for $79pp and everything was tasty. My favourites were the kingfish aguachile and the pan seared scallops. If you would like to try a bit of everything and/or don’t want to bother choosing the dishes, I definitely recommend going with the set menu!

This place is so good. As a visitor to Sydney we were a bit tired of going to the same old places and came across The Butler by chance as we were staying across the road. The welcome, views and decor put us in the right mood immediately and the cocktail list and lunchtime meal were so good we went back for dinner the following night. A must visit. Food was absolutely divine. I'd recommend the kingfish aguachile, incredible flavour and textural pairings result in a perfectly balanced dish. We were treated to an incredible special for the mains, pan seared scallops on jerusalem artichoke puree, topped with black truffle and caviar. Drinks were delicious, a great range of delicious non alcoholic options as well. If this wasn't good enough, the eyes are treated to a perfect view of sydney's skyline.

Was taken here by my partner for our anniversary. Notes: • menu made to be shared • portions are good to share multiple dishes • thank you for the sparkler on the affogato for our anniversary • eco friendly - they don’t use plastic straws • would come back again Positives first: + Graham explained food and drinks very well + oysters from SE NSW very good with the sauce and by itself, green sauce > red + empanadas juicy in the middle, pastry very crispy + sweet corn has a nice kick of spice + Ordered lobster gnocchi as we weren’t full, very pleasant, 1 lobster bite to 3 pc gnocchi. Texture was smooth and almost melt in mouth, I think it’s supposed to be a bit more chewy/texture but either way I think it’s very good. + Manuka honey semifredo not too sweet but has apple (sour) and strawberry (sweet) and honeycomb (sweet and salty) and fresh fig (sweet), all the flavours complimented each other very well Negatives: - Didn’t refill water (only refilled at the end when ordering desserts) - didn’t ask if wanted another drink, first drinks been empty for 10 min - octopus taco - soft, juicy and flavourful but very salty - wagyu rump cap special 250g medium rare bit underwhelming, felt like wasn’t worth $80. Had the option to also add truffle (in season) $20 for 3-4g - table has gaps, when pouring water and some spills it’ll have a chance to wet your legs - felt like $377 all together was quite expensive for the experience. Felt disappointed about the wagyu. ($107 on drinks) - got a mosquito bite as soon as I sat down

We had such a wonderful time at The Butler. The view from the back patio was exceptional and the service was good. Their tacos are the winner, followed by miso eggplants and the duck. We didn’t give a five star since several times we had trouble to get attention from the waiters and the scalops were a bit too dry. But overall experience was wonderful. Highly recommended.

We had been before with friends and loved it, so went back together for an early dinner. Beautiful sunset views from the rear deck. We had the skirt steak tacos, octopus tacos, and could not miss the lamb shoulder and eggplant salad (a must). Followed up with desserts. The lamb is far too big for two, which we knew, so the rest came home with us for a later date. Awesome cocktails too. HIGHLY recommended.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. We both had such a good experience and the food was delicious. We got the lamb (VIP style) for our main and it was YUM! Highly recommend but definitely go on an empty stomach. Thank you Graham for taking such good care of us… your service made the experience that much better. We will definitely be back.

Visiting from Melbourne with my partner, we booked in advance and had the most amazing time! Staff are great, and to talked us through the wine list and menu making us feel so at home. We settled on the rock oysters to start with followed lamb Barbacoa VIP style and the miso eggplant. Each dish was beautiful but we agreed the star was the lamb. We were seated in the balcony area, looking onto the sunset, which was incredible. One minor comment, was we felt it was hard to move food around the table with how the bolts attached but it didn’t get in the way of our experience. We’ve already recommended the restaurant to all our friends in Sydney and Melbourne alike. Will definitely come back when my next in town! Thanks so much for having us.

Bar Henry is a vibe! Quaint bar, with a great atmosphere and DJ. The drinks were great (from what my friends told me, currently sober over here). Dim lighting, sitting inside and outside. Bartenders are very helpful and cordial. Plenty of parking off Sunset. I got there at 8pm and it was not crowded by 10pm it was a party in there🥳! I have to admit the music can get really loud. The crowd reminded me of Seattle, not a bad thing. I will definitely bring friends back, for the ambiance alone. I plan on trying their mocktails next time. Stay posted!

The Butler definitely has a funky vibe! From the moment we arrived all the staff were super friendly and helpful. They have a full menu of varied dishes, that are designed to be shared. My favourite dish was the steak served 'chef's way', it was delicious! The cocktail menu is also extensive, sadly I was driving so I only sampled one. My friend and I sat on the terrace which has a beautiful atmosphere and also great views. A really enjoyable night. Thank you!

It was our first time dining at The Butler and did not disappoint! Everything we ordered had excellent flavors. Great mix of modern ibero american dishes and the server who attended us was really friendly and helpful with the menu. ❤️ Thank you for a wonderful experience!

First time at The Butler :) What a beautiful venue! We had a banquet menu for my mate’s birthday, and every item was just delicious. The empinadas were my favourite. They have a vast drinks menu, and the cocktails my friends looked fabulous. My glass of Riesling was great too! The staff were friendly and attentive. Thank you folks at The Butler for a lovely evening.

A really outstanding dining experience in Potts Point. The food was sensational. The cocktails and wine list were excellent. The staff were also super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended plus the view over Sydney is worth a million dollars.

Gorgeous venue and amazing food, love the Iberian cuisine. Cannot fault any of the dishes - from the oysters, to the tartare, gnocchi, honestly everything was divine. Cocktails and dessert were delicious and great service from the team. Highly recommend sitting in the courtyard to enjoy the beautiful view. We were so full from our lunch, we had to skip dinner haha.

Amazing food, service and view!! Three in one package, as soon as we walked in the ambiance was great. The food was all freshly cooked and came out fast, our drinks were delicious and the view was the best part. The waiter serving us was helpful and made some recommendations and was very friendly. We enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back soon!! Highly recommended this place 😊
